In the tech industry of Rimworld, much like in real life, interns can be a conveniently expendable workforce. In this guide, we'll navigate the art of maximizing the disposability of interns in a few creative ways.

The Lizard's Tail Strategy:

Human raids are a common threat in Rimworld. When they occur, raiders first determine a path to a target in your base. This target could be your walls, a pawn, or precious resources. Experienced players may recall a raid being called off once the raiders looted or captured what they wanted.
Here's a bright idea: Interns, or other "lungless" pawns, make for excellent "loot" - raiders will find capturing one satisfactory for a raid to be called off. All you need to do is figure out the enemy path, anesthetize an intern, and place it along the raiders' route and voilĂ , you live to see another day. (Unsure if babies work too). This strategy becomes especially handy during insurmountable raids, like an early Empire raid on max difficulty.

Trash Disposal:

If you've delved into the 'Overweight Shenanigans' section, you'd be familiar with enabling a single pawn to carry a ton of items. This trick is not just handy in trading but also in waste disposal. Arm an intern with all your junk and send them on a one-way trip. You won't incur any relationship penalties when the intern disappears from the map with all the trash.

Auto Bong labor camp:

When a pawn's movement falls below a certain threshold, they'll be incapacitated. Leveraging this, we can devised an arguably cruel way to incapacitate an intern or prisoner in times of rebellion, jailbreaks, or mental breakdowns.
Enter the Auto Bong, the device that reduces consciousness and movement. By confining a pawn with just one wooden leg to an area equipped with an Auto Bong, they'll keep some of their mobility to perform tasks but will be knocked out whenever the Auto Bong is switched on.
You can employ this method creatively across various pawns, not just interns. Need someone to tirelessly drill or plant? Want better control over an artist? Want to keep bloodbags from prison breaking? This strategy has you covered.
