In RimWorld, the psychic harmonizer is a highly useful implant. It operates by influencing the mood of surrounding pawns based on the mood of the pawn equipped with the harmonizer. Depending on the harmonizer pawn's mood, it can either elevate or reduce the mood of other pawns in its vicinity. Furthermore, the mood impact that a pawn experiences or projects is substantially influenced by elements such as their clothing, transplants, genes, and innate traits that relates to psychic sensitivity (the pawn in the picture above has the psy hyper sensitive trait, so the mood buff it receives is around +30 to +50).

Effectively harnessing the psychic harmonizer can be literally game changing. Despite its potential, its double-edged nature means it's not often employed. Now, what if I told you there are several simple ways to always receive the mood buff of a harmonizer and not the debuff?

Here's an important detail to consider: a pawn's mood will ceases to change if its consciousness falls below 30 percent, and the pawn will die if this drops to zero. Considering this, you may already start to guess our upcoming strategy. That's right, our goal is to create pawns that are, metaphorically speaking, "happy vegetables" (mood 100%, max consciousness 30%).

Midgame strategy (easy): The auto bong (Joywire + brain scar + auto bong)

A big reason why I always opt into high life is how easy it is to create a vegetable with my love, the auto bong. It essentially does 2 things, it provides a +13 mood buff to a pawn at the cost of 30% consciousness, making it useful in our happy vegetable farm. Moreover, placing an autobong in a medical room can further increase the likelihood of a doctor failing a brain surgery, leading to the generation of brain scars more easily.

To fail a surgery, let the doctor be high or disabled and let him perform brain surgery on a pawn in a bad environment. Note, the joy wire will be gone if the surgery failed. Afterward, successfully inserting a joy wire, leaving the auto bong open, and removing a lung will normally result in our first vegetable. What’s even better with this strategy is that you can turn the auto bong off to wake the vegetable in the future if you gather better clothing. Just remember to anesthetize them before turning the bong on.

Midgame strategy (medium): No auto bong (Joywire + brain scar + circadian + lung removal)

Similar to above, just change the auto-bong part to inserting a circadian half-cycler and removing a lung. Try other methods like drug withdrawl if that doesn't work.

The steps in simple terms:
1. Select a pawn with good traits
2. Equip it with psychic clothing and weapons
3. Make it very happy
4. Find a high or bad doctor
5. Create a small “clinic” that’s dark and dirty
6. Let the doctor fail a brain surgery on the pawn
7. Lower the pawn’s consciousness further
8. Insert harmonizer

Late-game strategy (Extremely easy): Death rest gene

If you read carefully, you would realize that Deathrest easily reduces a person's consciousness to below 10%, making it an ideal way to create our wifis. Preferably, you can try starting with just the Death Rest gene and sacrifice some power in the early game to extract it for free. Acquiring this gene through normal playthrough is close to impossible. With the gene inserted, just raise the mood of the pawn, insert the harmonizer, and let it rest for eternity.
